Toto Wolff is adamant he is sticking with Mercedes despite rumours linking him to Chase Carey’s top job with Liberty Media.
Liberty Media took control of Formula One in 2017 with Carey taking on the role of F1 boss.
However, three years later, rumours claim that American could step down.
His contract is up for renewal next season and Formula 1’s rumour mill has put Mercedes motorsport boss Wolff up for the job.
He says no.
“I haven’t given it consideration and certainly have not had any concrete discussions about running Formula One,” Wolff told Press Association.
“I really like what I do. Running a sports team from the commercial and financial side, and from a lap time perspective, is exciting because the stopwatch never lies. I like that honesty about the sport.
“At the same time, it is important to be committed to what you do. If you think about the next thing, you are not going to give it 100 per cent anymore and I have never done that.
“The doors have opened for me in the past because I think my contribution changed from great to good. I feel my contribution here is still acceptable.
“I love the sport and the platform is great, but I also love what I do now. It is truly fulfilling and it makes me happy.”
