Formula 1 teams have chosen largely similar tyre selections for the penultimate race of the year in Brazil, though McLaren have again erred on the conservative side.
Constructors’ championship contenders Mercedes and Ferrari have picked similar numbers of the super-soft, soft and medium compounds as each other.
McLaren, meanwhile, have continued their recent trend of picking fewer of the softest tyres available than their rivals. Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne have just seven sets of super-softs each.
The top three drivers in last year’s Brazilian Grand Prix all used similar tyre strategies. Sebastian Vettel, Valtteri Bottas and Kimi Raikkonen all started on super-softs and made a single stop to switch to softs.
