Nico Rosberg Is Going To Manage Robert Kubica's F1 Comeback

Nico Rosberg retired from F1 following his title win last year but he’s already making a return to the sport – not as a driver, but as a driver manager.

That’s because he’s teamed up with Robert Kubica’s manager, Alessandro Alunni Bravi, in an effort to boost Kubica’s chances of becoming an F1 driver again.

Following a couple of promising tests earlier this year, Kubica looked to have a serious shot at a seat with Renault in 2018. However with Carlos Sainz Jr. now looking set to join the French squad Kubica is something of a free agent, with some other teams (particularly Williams) also interested in him.

Robert and Nico have known each other for years, and the Pole hopes that the addition of Nico to his management team will boost his chances of finding a seat next year, saying:

Now we all know what a story it would be to have Kubica back in F1 following his horrific accident in 2011, but to do so with Nico Rosberg helping him would add an interesting twist.

It’s cool that Nico still wants to be involved in F1, too – where can he go from here? Is driver management just something for him to do or does he harbour bigger ambitions to move up further within the sport?
