Pit stops these days are over so quickly – it really is a case of blink and you’ll miss it. Red Bull hold the record for the fastest ever pit stop, which they did at the 2013 US Grand Prix when they serviced Mark Webber’s car in an astonishing 1.92 seconds (which Williams matched in Baku this year).
To celebrate the achievement, and their upcoming documentary about the history of the pit stop, Red Bull pitched their drivers head to head in a series of challenges to see what else they could do in 1.92 seconds. There are nine challenges spread across 18 videos on their YouTube channel, so if you’ve ever wanted to see Max Verstappen stuffing his face with Marshmallows or Daniel Ricciardo trying to pop a load of balloons, now’s your chance.
So what can we deduce from this? Well, Daniel is a bit of a butterfingers, and the child’s puzzle challenge was unfair from the off as Max has more recent experience. It’s damn funny though!
